Based on other recent, similar mistakes that Sony has made, I'm just going to assume that Nellie McKay's album "Pretty Little Head", if it is ever released, will be a work of unparalleled genius. What is it with Sony and talented female performers?

I've read in a few interviews that Sony is essentially blameless in the Fiona Apple fiasco, and she was the one who held the album back in a fit of self-loathing.

Given her history, that's entirely possible, but...

if you were completely pwned by a record company, had a contract that said you had to release another 1-2 albums for them, and had recently been responsible for a bunch of bad press, what would you say?
