Previously established Thanksgiving traditions at our house:
1. Absinthe drinking
2. The wearing of wigs, both costume and "realistic".

Newly established Thanksgiving traditions as of this year:
1. Finger puppets
2. Dramatic readings from 60s smut novels(*), round robin style. Everyone opens a book at random and suggests a line to advance the narrative.

* 60s smut novels provided free of charge by previous house owner. They fell out of the wall. No, really. Did I tell this story already?

I like Lucid as well. Also have a bottle of La Fée Parisienne which I need to write up a review of; the short of it is louches beautifully, but very flat with just a dominant anise note.

Pernod's absinthe is widely available here; haven't tried it yet but have heard mostly "meh" reviews, complaining they went for something that tastes more like Pernod than their pre-ban absinthe recipe.

Kubler is supposed to be very nice.

I'll hopefully get to try Obsello soon. I'm hearing nothing but good things about Marteau, which just launched (being distilled in Portland, OR).

And believe it or not, I hear Mansinthe is actually quite good.
