As pointed out in John Avavosis' AmericaBlog, this fascinating tidbit regarding the Va. Tech shooter from an ABC News article:
Some news accounts have suggested that Cho had a history of antidepressant use, but senior federal officials tell ABC News that they can find no record of such medication in the government's files. This does not completely rule out prescription drug use, including samples from a physician, drugs obtained through illegal Internet sources, or a gap in the federal database, but the sources say theirs is a reasonably complete search.[emphasis mine]
...The Feds have a national database of prescription drug use? They can tell if you've been using anti-depressants? Or Lipitor, or Viagra, presumably? Really? and...why?

Now, based on how they track my every Sudafed purchase these days, I can believe there are databases for Pseudo ephedrine purchase. I'm sure of it, actually. But what public interest is being served by tracking Prozac/Zoloft/Xanax/etc.? And for those of you on the FL who have had occasion to use such things, were you aware that you were being tracked?
