So it seems that Bill O'Reilly advocates that terrorists come in and blow up San Francisco. viz:

"Fine. You want to be your own country? Go right ahead," O'Reilly went on. "And if al Qaeda comes in here and blows you up, we're not going to do anything about it. We're going to say, look, every other place in America is off limits to you except San Francisco. You want to blow up the Coit Tower? Go ahead."
Isn't this treason? Giving aid and comfort to the enemy? Wasn't Jane Fonda vilified for decades for making substantively similar comments? and as the article states, didn't Bill Maher lose his show for saying less?

I know, I shouldn't even acknowledge that a snotwad like O'Reilly exists. But come ON.

It's isn't just O'Reilly. That sentiment is pretty common.

Why do you think I was so horrified when I saw the reaction from the rest of the country to the destruction of New Orleans? I was imagining the same reaction when the millenium quake knocks over San Francisco.

They really think I'm an enemy of America because I live in San Francisco, and they're just itching for an excuse to cleanse the place of all the liberal "vermin" who live here and rebuild it the way they wish it was. They're doing exactly that to New Orleans now.

It's crazy and hard to believe that neocon wackiness has gone as far as it has. When Buchanan bid for the presidential nomination, remember how he seemed too nutty to be Prez? Now he seems like a exceptionally level-headed voice of reason on the Right. That's telling.

Osama's October 2004 election tape said that he would attack any state that supported George Bush. I'm with O'Reilly on this one, since it works both ways: if we get our own country and Al Qaeda comes in and blows THEM up we can say we told them so.

Oh come on, I don't think he is literally advocating that SF get blown up by terrorists. His full context seems to suggest that he thinks that if San Francisco thinks that it can somehow vote to preclude it's citizens from military service, then the military can preclude San Francisco from it's protection.

Not that that's any kind of gem of wisdom or anything.

And that isn't what Measure I did. As is often the case with William, the truth is completely different. Measure I just "urges" the city to stop cooperating with military recruiters on city public school campuses without triggering the NCLB federal funding trap. It does not prevent people in San Francisco from joining the military. It doesn't even prevent recruiters for operating on or off campus.

exactly, San Fransisco is not truely stopping people from joining the military, and Billy Boy is not truely suggesting that the city get blown up by terrorists. It's statement made about something taken out of context, taken out of context.

Just more from the Political Book of Genesis.

Bullshit begets bullshit, begets bullshit, etc.

Still missing the point. How is this different from the statement that got Bill Maher canned?

The statement that got Bill Maher canned pissed off the people who own the network that supplied him with a production budget.

The statement that William made today gave a thick woodie to the people who own the network that supplies him with a production budget.

Hope That Helps.
