I liked him a lot, and you know I don't much care for cats. He was a good guy.

I'm so sorry. Cats shouldn't end.

(P.S. I apologize for asking this at such a time, but if you could use a cut tag or narrow the picture a bit, my friends page would stop scrolling. Since I'm probably not the only one I'm going to be a rude jerk person and mention it. Thanks.)

I would point out that Elwood was, in fact, much bigger than your screen, but I hate it when my friends page scrolls also and anyway I'm too tired to bother with the required clever wording.

Thanks, and apologies for troubling you with it. Alas, poor Elwood, a creature of infinite stretch.

Oh, no. I'm so sorry. He was such a great cat.
*hug*

That is sad.

Thank you for the gorgeous picture. I would ask for more, but I don't know if seeing them would make me feel better or worse.

As I told Annie, I'm glad you were able to give him two really happy years.

Well, I am putting together a gallery, slowly, of the too few digital pictures we have around, for myself if not anyone else. I assume they will make me feel worse at first, then better, slowly, until such time as it becomes a series of triggers of happy memories.

Well, that's the theory, anyway.

That seems wise. I'd love to see the gallery when it's up.

I think you already have all the digital pictures I have of him, and they're all from when he got out of the hospital. I have some photos from back when Annie, Grendel and I were living in Chelsea that I could scan and send you.

Absolutely! Please scan them and send them over.

To lose him like that...

...after you fought so hard to give him a healthy life seems more than usually cruel and unreasonable.

I'm so sorry.
