In the Montgomery Street BART station this morning, instead of the usual quartet of acapella Jesus freaks, or that one grizzled old guy singing "King of the Road" and "My Way" and "Crazy" (no, really, Patsy Cline), there was a trio of earnest young people playing Christmas carols.
On two violins and a bassoon.
You just don't see bassoons that often while taking public transit.
