Yesterday, Calvin climbed up on a chair so he could reach something on the table (a small, round tupperware tub with a red lid). He did this as though it were perfectly natural and obvious, as if it were the sort of thing he had been doing his whole life. Wrong on all counts. Then, he climbed down backwards holding the tub in one hand.
Today he opened up a drawer, reached in, and grabbed the same small, round tub withe the red lid, then spent 10 frustrating minutes trying to get the lid on and off. He has all of the intent and none of the dexterity. The primary bit of learning here, though, is that he has figured out that if he can master the tupperware, no food can be kept from him. I think he was perturbed in both cases to find that there were no grapes or cheerios in the tupperware once he did get his hands on it.
Still, this means Trouble.
