How you know you work in a big company, part 4 of N

Today I had a 15 minute meeting with my boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss.

Monday A.M. first thing?

No, strangely enough, the leisurely quarter hour right before lunch.

If I did that, I'd be talking to whoever Steve Jobs works for.

So you'd be presenting at an Apple/Disney board meeting?

Be careful when traversing your boss hierarchy.

You don't want a reference through nil boss.

Holy cats. If I had a 15 minute meeting with my boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss, it would be Al Gore, Jr. And I thought *I* worked for a big company. Maybe not so much.

As a peon at the Smithsonian, my boss's boss's boss's boss's boss's boss, might actually be the Shrub at 1600 Penn. Ave. I'm really glad he doesn't have clue one as to who I am and I don't ever have to have a meeting with him.
