And following up on of of the pieces major themes: seriously now, name me one person who actually puts "Country First." What kind of ignorant paint huffing moron believes that? Look at the entire Republican economic doctrine, it's predicated on the theory that the enlightened self interest of rich people ("Millionaires first"), or corporations ("Wall Street First"), take your pick, will have benefits all down the line for the rest of us. It's bullshit, but they got the self-interest-as-prime-motivator part right.
"My Children first", I'll buy. "My fellow grunts in this foxhole first", I get that one. "These poor suffering lepers, and oh by the way I'm a nun, first", I get that one too. "Country First?" Really? Who? EVER?
