Descending into DFW last week through the remains of heavy storms, there were multiple cloud layers, at least 4. The top layer was the usual blanket of white, obscuring all that lay beneath.
And beneath, the revelation that the sunset was almost complete, and sitting at least two more cloud layers down, because what to my wondering eyes should appear but a fiery orange seascape, horizon-wide, dotted with wispy black storm cloud archipelagos.
