When we hear the phrase "British East India Company", we're thinking musty old colonial history lessons from high school. Meanwhile, Addwaita the tortoise was thinking, "Right, those dapper gentlemen who gave me a new home when I was middle-aged...I wonder what ever happened to them?"

For the first time since Rose was born, A. and I treated ourselves to a real live date last night! Amaya the punky-haired new babysitter came over to help herd the kids to bed, and we shuffled off to Lalimes, on Gilman street in Berkeley. ( Cut tags save you from drooling on your keyboard! )
